This Thursday, Main Campus will hold its Annual Fall Open House.  This will be the first Open House in which we can show off the Student Success Center.  I am sure the reviews will be just like the others since the building opened this summer.  People simply love the new addition to our Main Campus!

Record attendance for this event has occurred over the last two years.  I expect much the same for this year’s version.  Students and parents are eager to ask our excellent faculty and staff a variety of questions.  We are more than happy to answer such inquiries and provide whatever assistance is needed. March Madness

March Madness – a time college basketball fans crave.  Area teams were well-represented in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament.  Pitt, Robert Morris, and West Virgina made the NCAA’s, while Penn State and Duquesne earned National Invitation Tournament berths.

I know of BC3 students who have used their credits to transfer to each of these universities.  Great picks if I might say so myself.  Read the rest of this entry »


True to Our Mission

Dear Students,

You may have recently read or heard that Butler County Community College suffered a $1 million operating budgetary cut from Butler County – our local sponsor.  While a cut this size is never good news, frankly we were not surprised given these economic times.

Heart Walk

BC3 Heart Walk Team

This past Saturday, October 12, several hundred people participated in the American Heart Association’s Annual Butler County Heart Walk.  This is the second consecutive year the event was held on our Main Campus.

Dozens of people mentioned the beauty of our campus to me – construction projects and all!  The weather made for a picture perfect day as we walked three miles to fight heart disease.  Read the rest of this entry »
